If you have the Alpina Rootage on your head, you are protected in the best possible way on the trail. Maximum safety, optimal fit and the best possible climate control of the interior. These are the main features of the Enduro helmet from Alpina.
For the highest level of safety, the Alpina Rootage uses the high-performance material carbon. Carbon fiber plates are incorporated into the outer shell of the helmet, making it more resistant. The edges of the helmet are finished with Edge Protect, an additional ceramic shell, for added protection. Inserts made of polycarbonate stiffen the large ventilation openings, which together with internal channels provide the rider’s head with the best possible supply of fresh air. This allows the Alpina Rootage to not only rock the trails, but also tackle sweaty climbs.
Despite its extremely hard outer shell, the helmet has a super soft core. The washable pads are made of COOLMAX™ material and nestle comfortably against the head. The Run System Ergo Flex ensures an optimal fit.
The adjustment system impresses with a filigree design and fixes the helmet evenly on the head in a 360 degree circumference. A helmet can not be adjusted more individually, smoothly and comfortably. On rough trails a decisive advantage. The Alpina Rootage can also be combined with a goggle. An integrated hook at the rear and the adjustable shield at the front make it possible. Flow, nature, adrenaline: that’s what you’re looking for on the trail. With the Alpina Rootage, you’re sure to find it.

Technologies
ANTIBACTERIAL INTERIOR
The padding material prevents the formation of germs and odors when sweating. The helmet pads are dermatologically tested and are characterized by excellent skin compatibility. They can be easily removed and washed at a maximum of 40 °.
AIR FLOW VENTING
Alpina developers spend a lot of time and energy to constantly improve the ventilation of our bike helmets. By wind tunnel tested arrangement of the vents, our engineers create a “Venturi” effect inside the helmet, which cools the head, leads to less sweat and higher performance.
FLY NET
The front vents of the helmet are covered with a mesh fabric. This performs the same function as an insect screen and prevents insect bites on the scalp in hot and humid riding periods and places.
CARBON TEC
Carbon Tec ensures the best possible protection. The high-performance material carbon is processed using the Inmold method. The integrated carbon plates in the outer shell make the helmet more resistant. Forces acting on the helmet at specific points are absorbed by the carbon fibers, distributed over a larger area and thus attenuated.
CERAMIC SHELL
All Inmold-manufactured helmets from Alpina, receive this break- and scratch-resistant polycarbonate shell. The blank is stretched under high heat to the shape of the later helmet and pressed with high pressure on its Hi-EPS body. The material is characterized by several qualities at the same time: It is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable as well as antistatic.
EDGE PROTECT
Edge Protect is a processing method that ensures Inmold helmets have no sharp edges. This reduces the risk of injury in two ways: on the one hand, it protects the hands when handling the helmet, and on the other hand, in the event of an impact, the neck and shoulder area remain protected from scratches when in contact with the lower edge of the helmet.
HI-EPS
The inner shell of every Alpina helmet is made of Hi-EPS (“High Expanded Polystyrene”). It consists of microscopic air chambers that optimally absorb the forces acting during an impact. Despite optimum protection, HI-EPS ensures extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes.
INMOLD
In the Inmold production process, the helmet upper shell made of polycarbonate is “baked” together with the EPS granulate of the helmet body under high heat and strong pressure. This creates an extensive and inseparable bond between the upper and lower shells. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.
RUN SYSTEM ERGO Flex
via the Run System, the size of the helmet can be individually adjusted on all helmets from Alpina via a smooth-running rotary wheel. The Run System Ergo Flex is the lightest and most comfortable adjustment system from Alpina. The filigree design nestles evenly against the head and thus increases protection. The Run System Ergo Flex can be adjusted via a fine grid – there is no more individual, smooth and comfortable way to adjust a helmet.
