It wasn’t easy for TLD to improve on the class-leading design and function of their D3 helmet, but they did it. By using aerospace shells and materials, they were able to reduce the weight of the D4 composite helmet to 1050 grams without sacrificing strength.
The MIPS C2 protection system provides additional safety in the event of a fall. For comfort, the D4 Comp directs cooling air through a front air intake system that flows through the polymer midsection and side Power Grid mesh to keep the head cooler while riding. Antimicrobial and odor-resistant X-static® and XT2® padding make the inside of the helmet feel even more comfortable.
